West Linn Police Log: caller thanks police for increasing traffic patrols and more recent calls to WLPD

5/9 8:59 a.m. An anonymous caller told police that eight or nine cars were parked in the no-parking zone on Broadway Street.

5/9 11:29 a.m. A man had questions for police about political signs.

5/9 1:02 p.m. A caller said a couple broke the lock for tennis courts on Bay Meadow Drive because their key wouldn’t work. The caller said a member would not do that.

5/9 1:58 p.m. Police were called about a car that hit a curb.

5/9 3:00 p.m. Someone told police that a dog walking on Hood Street was salivating and they were unsure if it had rabies.

5/9 5:57 p.m. A bank manager told police that a car was parked facing the wrong way in the bank drive-thru even though the bank was closed.

5/9 8:08 p.m. A caller on River Edge Way said a dog had been barking all day.

5/9 9:54 p.m. A manager at Safeway told police that kids were riding scooters and play fighting in the store.

5/9 10:52 p.m. A resident told police that six kids were banging loudly on their window and did this every night around the same time.

5/10 10:47 a.m. A woman called to thank police after  she noticed an increase in traffic patrols and stops.

5/10 1:52 p.m. A man said there was an ongoing problem with people parking in the no-parking zone on Mapleton Drive.

5/10 5:18 p.m. A caller said three goats were in the middle of 11th Street.

5/10 7:06 p.m. A woman told police her DoorDash driver was “really creepy” and only dropped off her Sephora order when she placed orders at both Ulta and Sephora.

5/10 7:16 p.m. Someone reported finding a yellow lab.

5/11 12:36 a.m. A man said kids were partying at Tanner Creek Park.

5/11 9:25 a.m. A woman told police a German shepherd was running around April Court.

5/12 7:58 a.m. A caller said he saw what looked like a warming fire near McLoughlin Boulevard.

5/12 10:42 a.m. Someone reported cars parked in the restricted area on Buse Street.

5/12 11:46 a.m. Police received a call about a group of 15 teenagers smoking weed.

5/12 12:00 a.m. A man told police he was very upset about parking on Broadway Street.

5/12 12:34 p.m. A resident reported someone placed a number of items on the side of 19th Street with a “free” sign, but the rain damaged the items.

5/12 7:01 p.m. A caller reported someone camping in a car at Willamette Park.

5/12 7:16 p.m. A resident said an iPad, cash, clothing and an ADA parking placard were stolen out of his and his wife’s unlocked cars over the weekend.

5/13 11:06 a.m. A woman said she was missing $1,200 and she suspected her sister’s boyfriend took it.

5/13 2:48 p.m. A man complained about cars parked in the no-parking zone on K Street and Webb Street.

5/13 3:32 p.m. A resident on Barnes Circle said their neighbor pulled plants out of their property over the weekend.

5/13 7:54 p.m. A woman wanted to ask an officer if her neighbor’s behavior toward her was considered harassment.

5/14 9:03 a.m. A caller told police about an aggressive driver on 8th Court.

5/14 10:06 a.m. Someone reported a car had been parked in front of a restaurant on Willamette Falls Drive for six days.

5/14 1:28 p.m. A man asked police what the rules were for parking a motorhome in his driveway.

5/14 2:18 p.m. Police received a call about junk removal signs posted on Rosemont Road.
