Evelyn Leisman

Longtime West Linn teacher Evelyn Elizabeth Leisman died July 21, 2010 of natural causes. She was 90.

Mrs. Leisman was born Dec. 10, 1919 in Oregon City to Albert Runyan and Anna E. Larson Runyan.

She retired from the West Linn School District and was a lifetime member of Willamette United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was an avid gardener.

She married Marshall E. Leisman; the couple was married for 57 years before Mr. Leisman died.

Survivors include her son, Jeff Leisman of Sheridan, Ore., and daughters Diane Johnson and Cheryl Morris, both of Bremerton, Wash., six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held today, July 29, at 11 a.m. at Hillside Chapel, 1306 Seventh St. in Oregon City.

Private interment will be at Mt. View Cemetery in Oregon City.
