On Friday, Hanna Hilton, 14, was crowned queen at the West Linn Old Time Fair. After hearing the news - delivered to her via a skydiving team before a captive audience - Hilton hugged her mom, Cynthia.
Hilton and three other princesses - Ashley Jane Johnson, Tori Velasquez and Michaela Laughlin - were in the running to "represent what West Linn is all about," according to Laughlin.
Hilton is a volunteer at Happy Trails Riding Center in West Linn, which offers therapeutic horseback riding to people with disabilities, and hopes to someday become a life-learning teacher to help kids with disabilities.
Before becoming queen Hilton said, "I always thought it would be fun to make so many people smile."
And at the 54th Annual West Linn Old Time Fair July 16, 17, and 18 many people smiled back at Hilton.
